Hi-
I recently purchased and got a 1967 MGB running. I love it. Last week it became difficult to get into first gear and reverse but once running shifted fairly well. It has gotten worse and now I can't even get it into reverse at all, just grinds when I try to push it in.
I don't know much about cars but I believe this means I need a new clutch. ?? Is this most likely?
I called around and the place that has the best reputation said they won't replace the clutch for me unless I provide the parts because after market clutches are so hit or miss.
So- I'm looking for someone in the pittsburgh area that will do the work, and/or where I should order the parts from to take to my guy.
Thanks in advance for any advice- I really appreciate it
Dan

Dan, This is a job you can takle yourself with a chiltons manual and a few tools. It was the first significant repair I ever tried about 30 years ago and was surprisingly straight forward. If that isn't your cup of tea, you should be able to get a clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing, and flywheel (if needed) from Victoria British or Moss Motors. Good luck, and let me know if you need anything.
