BAD NEWS .. drove my MG over to be inspected ... appears the rear axle seals are leaking as well as rear wheel cylinders .. they need tp remove and replace rear axle limit strap, sway bar bushing and end fittings, re torque leaf spring, remove and replace deteiorated transmission mount and replace slave cylinder all for BIG BUCKS ... this is way past my comfort zone. The car was last inspected in 04/10 and has only 100 miles since. Did winter in a garage ... did NOT find any new leaks, but the motor has always dropped some oil. Any direction, advise parts alone are $ 400 or name of a trusted mechanic east of Pittsburgh ... maybe this would be a good car for a tech session.

Sounds to me like you got a different mechanic than you had last time. It also does sound like a good project for a tech session. We will not be having one until spring but give me a call and if you want we can set something up for the spring session. If you have antique plates for the car you do not need state inspection but you do need to take care of the car. It sounds like you don't drive it a lot so look into the antique plates. The cost a little more at first but you never have to renew them and no inspection needed.
