Hey all! I put in a new upholstery seat kit, complete with new foam pieces, 2 years ago in my MGB. My problem is that it has raised my eye level to be perfectly level with the top of the windshield frame. And, if the top is up, it is impossible to look out the door glass, without bending down several inches due to the top glass override. I have been waiting for the foam cushion and rubber seat base support straps to 'adjust', but see no change in site. Any helpful hints or suggestions would be appreciated. I've decided if no simple solution, I will order used materials from a parts vendor, ( ah hmmm!), to get back to that proper position. I feel as if I'm sitting on a booster seat. Thanking all clever responders!

I'd go back to the supplier and say hey! Maybe they sent the wrong material or faulty instructions.
I have reduced the height of foam in a motorcycle seat by an inch by: marking a 1"grid on the flat base. Then saw slots 1"deep. Using an electric knife slice off an inch, using the slot depth as a guide. ( The knife may no longer be useful for turkey carving) I used a metal ruler that was 1' wide to control the depth of the slots. Check the upholstery fit to verify that its adjustable.
